A Mass of Christian Burial services for Deanna May age 70 of Wisner formerly of Laurel, will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Laurel, NE. on Monday October 29th at 10:30 a.m. She passed away Thursday at St. Francis Memorial Hospital
in West Point. Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Laurel on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.
Arrangements with Hasemann Funeral Home of Laurel.
Interment will be in the Laurel Cemetery in Laurel, NE.

Deanna Louise May was born August 7, 1942, at Sioux City, Iowa to Arnold and Elsie (Noelle) May. She was raised in Laurel and graduated from Laurel-Concord High School in 1960. Deanna worked for AT & T for thirty-two years as a telephone operator in Norfolk and later in Omaha. In August 1990, she retired continuing to live in Omaha until moving to Laurel and then the Wisner Care Center in Wisner in 2007.
Deanna is survived by her siblings, Elaine Jorgensen and Mary Nemec both of Norfolk; Gerald (Nancy) May of Fremont, Leon May of Laurel, and Marvin (Tammy) May of Dixon, one aunt; one uncle; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; two nephews.
