First National Bank Of Wayne Changing To State Charter
Posted: 05 December, 2012
WAYNE - Starting today, First National Bank of Wayne will convert from a National Bank Charter to a State Banking Charter and will change their name to First Nebraska Bank of Wayne.
The change will allow the bank to better serve the needs of their customers and focus on being a strong community bank. There are no changes in personnel, directors or ownership of the bank. There are also no changes in the First National Insurance Agency, or the Investment Centers of America and the bank’s logo as well as their website will remain the same. President Bill Dickey says “the transition should be seamless for our customer as they will continue to use their same accounts, their same checks, deposit slips, ATM/Debit cards and personal banking services as they have in the past, with all deposits being insured by FDIC.” Dickey goes on to say “We appreciate the opportunity to have provided banking services for over 127 years and look forward to serving Wayne and Northeast Nebraska in years to come.”
