Audubon Society Hosting Annual Bird Count At Ponca State Park

PONCA, Neb. (AP) – The National Audubon Society is inviting experienced and novice birders to join the annual bird count at Ponca State Park later this month.
People can bring binoculars and meet for instruction at the park’s Missouri National Recreational River Resource and Education Center at 7 a.m. on Dec. 14. There will be a chili feed at noon. The park sits along the Missouri River, about two miles north of Ponca in northeast Nebraska. A valid park entry permit is required.
