Funeral services for Mildred Jensen age 92 of Laurel will be held at the United Methodist Church in Laurel on at Friday 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be on Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Laurel with family present.
Interment will be in the Obert Cemetery in Obert, Nebraska. She passed away Sunday at the Tabitha Care Center in Lincoln. Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Laurel and Tabitha Care Center in Lincoln.

Mildred Theresa Jensen was born December 6, 1920 at Hartington to William and Nellie (Draine) Wrenn. Mildred married Verlin Jensen, April 20, 1938 at Obert. In her lifetime she was employed as a cook in the Old Home Café, cut and wrapped meat for Laurel Locker, was a cook at Laurel Schools for many years. She also helped manage the low rent housing in Laurel. Mildred was a resident of Laurel for many years before moving to Lincoln to be with her daughter, Sally. In June of 2009 she moved to Tabitha Care Center in Lincoln.
Mildred is survived by her children, Betty (Wayne) Finley of Snyder, CO, Sally Urwiler of Lincoln, Sarah (Gene) Granquist of Norfolk, Robert (June) Jensen of Carthage, TX and Larry (Kathy) Jensen of Beauna Vista, CO; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Donna Young of Dixon and Pauline Jensen of South Sioux City; brother-in-law, Marvin Jensen of Sioux City, IA; many nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Verlin in 2007; brother, Raymond Wrenn; four sisters, Lucille Boysen, Dorothy Dowling, Doris Dowling, and Geraldine Mathiasen.
