LERND To Consider Flow Meters For Irrigation

Posted: 13 December, 2012

NORFOLK - The Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District will be holding their regular subcommittee meeting today, where NRD officials are expected to consider requiring flow meters for irrigation, as well as setting irrigation limits and restricting new irrigated acres. The possible actions come in response to the problems that have arisen due to declines in groundwater levels this summer. Today’s subcommittee meeting will be held at the Lifelong Learning Center in Norfolk at 7:30 p.m.
