Posted: 24 December, 2012

NORFOLK - Wakefield native and Wayne State College graduate assistant Amanda Schultze has been named head coach of the newly reinstated volleyball program at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. Schultze is a 2006 graduate of Wakefield High School and first played at Central Community College in Columbus, where she earned junior college All-American honors. She then transferred to Morningside College in Sioux City and played libero for the Mustangs, while simultaneously earning her degree in organizational management. Schultze has spent the past two seasons as a graduate assistant for Wayne State volleyball coach Scott Kneifl while working to obtain her Master's degree. Schultze was named late last week as coach for the Lady Hawks volleyball program, which, along with the men’s golf program, will begin play in the fall.
