WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Jeff Fortenberry has nominated three northeast Nebraska students to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Congressman Fortenberry’s office says Benjamin Burmester of Pender Public Schools, Jacob Pond of Lyons-Decatur Northeast High School and Benjamin Protzman of Norfolk Senior High have all been nominated. Fortenberry says nominees for the Air Force Academy must demonstrate a high capacity for leadership, personal integrity and rigorous scholarship. He says all three students meet the qualifications.
