Blue Devils Boys Down Crofton In Mid-State Tournament

NORFOLK (KTCH/KCTY) – The Wayne High boys’ basketball team saw its first action of this year’s Mid-State Conference Tournament Tuesday night, facing off against Crofton at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. The Blue Devils got off to a hot start offensively, scoring 15 points in the first two quarters to lead 30-19 at halftime. Wayne then held Crofton to just 18 second half points, on their way to a 60-37 win over the Warriors. Our Subway Player of the Game, Wayne’s Jalen Barry led all scorers with 26 points. He was followed by Grant Anderson with 10 points. Tyler Koch led the scoring for Crofton with 10 points. The Blue Devils improve to 16-3 on the year and will face Hartington Cedar Catholic in the semi-final round of the conference tournament Friday night at 6:15 again at NECC.
