Funeral services for Kaden Schmale age 14 of Rural Carroll, Nebraska will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoskins on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Officiate Rev. Rodney Rixe. Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in

Hoskins on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present. Interment will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery in Carroll. He passed away Monday at his home near Carroll. Memorials may be directed to the Kaden E. Schmale Memorial Fund in care of The State National Bank in Wayne and the Elkhorn Valley Bank of Hoskins and Norfolk with a portion going to cancer research. Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

     Kaden Edward Schmale was born August 22, 1998, at Norfolk to Edward and Sherri (Marotz) Schmale.  He attended Wayne Community Schools where he was currently in the eighth grade and a band member.  Kaden divided his time living with his families on the farms near Carroll and Osmond. He participated in 4-H as a Blue Ribbon Winner member and earning many champion and reserve champion trophies at the Wayne County Fair and Nebraska State Fair. He was a Nebraska Football fan and Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting, and playing video games.  Kaden was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Hoskins.  
     Kaden is survived by his parents, Sherri (Grant Albers) of Osmond and Edward (Tami Conner) of Carroll; his siblings, a sister, Kayla Schmale (Jason Hansen) of Omaha, a brother, Kyle (Jessica) Schmale of Carroll, a sister, Kourtney Schmale of Hastings; two nieces, Kynlee and Aubree; grandparents, Lane and Jeanie Marotz of Hoskins and Darrell and Dorothy French of Carroll; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.   
     Kaden was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and a grandfather, Leonard H. Schmale.  
     Kaden’s family appreciates your thoughts and kindness and invites you to lunch in the Carroll Auditorium following the committal service.
