WSC Women's Track And Field Team Ranked #25

WAYNE - The Wayne State College women’s indoor track and field team is ranked 25th in the USTFCCCA (U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) NCAA Division II National Team Computer rankings released Tuesday afternoon.  The Wildcats received 29.09 points in the national rankings with points awarded based on performers who have achieved NCAA provisional or automatic qualifying marks during the season.
                The Wildcats have had eight NCAA provisional marks so far this season and are ranked in the top 20 in five events.  Junior Carly Fehringer currently sits fourth in the weight throw (63’ 0”), sophomore Sara Wells is seventh in the shot put (47’ 1 ½”), junior Emily Wells is ranked 13 th in the weight throw (58’ 6 ¾”) and senior Lachel Milander is ranked 15th in the shot put (46’ 2”) and 16th in the weight throw (58’ 2 ½”). 
                Wayne State will be competing Friday at the Concordia Invitational in Seward, Nebraska.
