The Tenderheart Animal Rescue + Sanctuary Story
Compelled by the loss of a 20 year companion, Renee Jacobsen founded Tenderheart Animal Rescue + Sanctuary in hopes of providing the same love and affinity to other less fortunate animals. A true no-kill animal sanctuary, Tenderheart Animal Rescue operates as a private, non-profit organization supported by the generosity of the community of Wayne Nebraska, federal grants and the devotion of unpaid volunteers. We strive to provide community education, promote rehabilitating adoptions and responsible pet ownership, while providing refuge and sanctuary to those animals who might otherwise be denied a second chance at life.
