Tenderheart Animal Rescue + Sanctuary Pet of the Week sponsored by the Wayne Vet Clinic.
This week we have Romeo, a Husky / Rottweiler mix that is approximately 5 years old. Romeo was brought to the
shelter after the owner passed away and his wife could no longer care for him.  Romeo is a “big hunk of burnin love” that likes nothing better than to have his belly rubbed. He is good with kids and loves to go for rides. He is up to date on all his shots and is wormed. Romeo reminds you to Support an Animal & Eat a Sub Tonight!TenderHeart Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is hosting a Sub Dinner at the former Snakey Jakes/Mama Marie's from 4:30 to 8:00pm at 18 East 2nd St., Wayne. The Tenderheart Animal Rescue + Sanctuary Story
Compelled by the loss of a 20 year companion, Renee Jacobsen founded Tenderheart Animal Rescue + Sanctuary in hopes of providing the same love and affinity to other less fortunate animals. A true no-kill animal sanctuary, Tenderheart Animal Rescue operates as a private, non-profit organization supported by the generosity of the community of Wayne Nebraska, federal grants and the devotion of unpaid volunteers. We strive to provide community education, promote rehabilitating adoptions and responsible pet ownership, while providing refuge and sanctuary to those animals who might otherwise be denied a second chance at life.
