Funeral services for Irene Blecke age 95 of Wayne will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
She passed away Monday at Golden Living Center-Valhaven in Valley. Visitation will be held at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family Present. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church and The Wayne Senior Center.

Irene Blecke was born, March 15, 1917, at Lincoln to Henry and Mary (Wymaster) Wacker. She attended country school near Wayne. Irene married Leonard Blecke, March 22, 1936, at Carroll. The couple farmed near Carroll until moving into Wayne in 1974. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Wayne.
Irene is survived by her children, Dennis Blecke of Loveland, CO, Lowell Blecke of Waterloo, Bill (Rhonda) Blecke of Wakefield, Fauneil (Dennis) Pospishil of Irene, SD, Barbara (Doug) Harrison of Waterloo; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Blecke of Brighton, CO; son-in-law, Gilbert Mattes of Grand Island; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Ken) Beyler of Cody, WY, Betty Bruns of Sioux Falls, SD, Margaret Nelson of Wayne; sisters-in-law, Delores Wacker and Rodella Wacker both of Wayne; nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard in 1973; daughter, Darlene Mattes; son, Merlin Blecke; son-in-law, David Meisinger; grandson, Nathan Mattes; four brothers, Henry Jr., Clyde, Dick, and Bud Wacker; and one sister, Margie.
