Funeral services for Lila Brown age 90 of Wayne will be held at the United Methodist Church in Wayne on Monday March 4th
at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne on Sunday from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with family present. She died Monday February 25th at Providence Medical Center in Wayne. Interment is at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church and the June E. Nylen Cancer Center.

Lila Imogene Brown was born November 9, 1922, at Laird, CO to Claude and Edith (Knight) Prentice. She graduated from Wray, CO High School. Lila married Lloyd Brown August 3, 1941, at St. Francis, KS. They lived in Wray, CO until 1948. They opened a blacksmith shop in Vernon, CO later moving to Onawa, IA. In 1955, the couple moved to Wayne and Lila was employed as an Agent for State National Insurance Agency. The couple spent their winters in Arizon auntil 1992. Lila was a member of First United Methodist Church, Gospel Seekers Bible Study, United Methodist Women, Women of Faith, Minerva Club, Logan Valley Good Sam Camping Club, Northeast Nebraska Rock and Mineral Society.
Lila is survived by her children, Karen (Russel) Swanson of Wahoo, Ronald (Jan) Brown of Pullman, WA, Richard (Ruth) Brown of Nickerson, L. Lavern (Linda) Brown of Osmond, and Beverly (Terry) Schrieber of Laurel; thirteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd in 2001; a son, Norman in 1981; four brothers, Curtis, Dale, Russell, and Norman Prentice.
