County And District Court Nominations Passed On To Gov. Heineman

LINCOLN (AP) - The Judicial Nominating Commission for the 7th Judicial District in northeast Nebraska has forwarded the names of judgeship nominees to Gov. Dave Heineman for his consideration.
The resignation of Judge Richard Krepela created an opening on the county court bench. The retirement of Judge Robert Ensz created an opening on the district court bench. The 7th Judicial District consists of Antelope, Cuming, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton and Wayne counties. The nominees for county court judge are Michael Long, of Madison; and Patrick Carney and Dennis Morland, of Norfolk. The nominees for district court judge are Michael Brogan and Mark Johnson, of Norfolk. The governor will be interviewing them in the coming weeks.
