NORFOLK – Dwaine Spieker of Wayne is one of three Nebraska poets whose work is featured in the March/April issue of Nebraska Life Magazine.
Spieker’s “Seagulls in Nebraska” speaks to an interconnected world, from the oceanfront to our own fields. “Heights / are always heights / and all flight is everywhere the same,” Spieker writes.
Poems evoking the feeling of living in Nebraska appear in each issue of the statewide magazine. Nebraska Life Magazine invites readers to submit their own poetic takes on Nebraska for future issues.
This issue also includes stories and photos on” western wineries, the southwestern city of Curtis, Nebraska cloud photos, Platte River parks of Merrick County, Omaha’s Peony Park, events across the state and more.
