Mildred Irene Paulson was born June 25, 1924, at Hartington, to Henry and Anna (Grandt) Roenfeldt.  She attended country school in Cedar County.  Mildred married Howard Paulson, January 25, 1944, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Parsonage in Coleridge.  They lived in the Laurel area all of their married life.  Mildred was a member of the United Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Laurel, Neighborhood Birthday Club, Laurel Cemetery Association, and Laurel Senior Citizens Center.  She loved playing cards and having coffee with her special friends, embroidering, gardening, and her flowers.  Most of all she loved being with her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and went to as many of their activities as possible.  Family was most important to her. Mildred is survived by her son, Dwight (Kay) Paulson of Laurel; daughter, Dorothy (Robert) Patefield of Belden;   four grandchildren, Candace (Nolan) Mack, Trent Patefield, Patricia (Scott) Jindra, and Melissa Graf; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Whitehead and Baylie Graf; nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard in 1991; grandsons, Jim Graf and Rod Graf; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-laws, Margaret (Raymond) Barnes and  Helen (Vern)  Berg.
Mildred’s family appreciates your thoughts and kindness and invites you to lunch in the church fellowship hall following the committal service.
