Make sure to register your dogs and cats if you live in the City of Wayne during the month of May. Registration fees during this period will be $6.00 per dog or cat and licenses can be obtained at the Wayne Police Department. More information can be found under the Community Events tab.

Area Students Awarded Scholarships By WSC

WAYNE - Nancy Drevo of Wayne was awarded the Jim and Vera Hummel Scholarship in the amount of $500. She is a business administration - public accounting and finance major.  She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Sigma Lambda honor societies.

D.J. Dunklau of Carroll was awarded the F & M Bank of Wayne Scholarship for $1,000. The scholarship is awarded to a Wayne-Carroll High School graduate enrolled full-time in business. Preference is given to a business education major. The recipient must be enrolled full-time with at least 60 semester hours earned and a minimum 2.7 GPA. He is a member of Sigma Beta Delta business honorary, an honors student and has been on the dean's list at Wayne State College.

Travis Arens of Fordyce (left) is presented a certificate by Galen Wiser of the State National Bank of Wayne for his award of the State National Bank Scholarship based on his academic record, character and promise as a college representative. The scholarship is for the amount of $500. Arens is a member of Sigma Beta Delta business honorary at Wayne State College. 

Kyleigh Parham of Tilden (right) was awarded the Barbara K. Kanter Scholarship for $1,315. She is a senior Business Administration-Marketing Information Technology Education major with endorsements in Coaching, Diversified Occupation and Information Technology.  She is a member of Delta Sigma Pi having served as Historian, Vice President of Recruiting and Pledge Educator, a member of Pi Omega Pi, participates in intramural sports, in 2011 participated in the Greece Study Abroad Program and has been on the Dean's List. She is a Teammates Mentor at the Wayne Middle School and a volunteer youth basketball coach at the Wayne Activity Center.
