Make sure to register your dogs and cats if you live in the City of Wayne during the month of May. Registration fees during this period will be $6.00 per dog or cat and licenses can be obtained at the Wayne Police Department. More information can be found under the Community Events tab.

A MAPP meeting to discuss the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) for the Wayne Community will take place from 9:30-2:30 at the Wayne Fire Hall today. The plan addresses community needs such as Access to Health Care, Aging Issues, Prevention of Illness, and Mother/Child Health concerns.

The final WSC Cat Club Luncheon for the 2012-13 school year will be held at noon in the back room of the Max Lounge in downtown Wayne. Spring coaches will give a recap of their seasons along with an update on recruiting classes and athletic director Mike Powicki will give an update on the facility project construction currently going on at the football and soccer fields. The event is open to the public.

Tenderheart Animal Rescue and Sanctuary will host a pasta supper at the former Snakey Jake's/Mama Marie's diner at 118 E. 2nd Street in Wayne. The event runs from 4:30 to 8pm, and all proceeds benefit Tenderheart. To-Go meals are available.
