Husker Baseball Downs Michigan

MINNEAPOLIS, MN. (NRN) - After Michigan took two out of three this past weekend in a series in Lincoln, just to clinch a spot in the Big Ten baseball tournament, the Nebraska Cornhuskers quickly dismantled the Wolverines with a 11-2 victory on Wednesday at Target Field in Minneapolis, MN.
Kyle Kubat pitched seven innings on one-hit ball, while Blake Headley, Pat Kelly and Austin Darby each had multi-hit games. Nebraska’s pitching staff limited the Wolverines to five hits on the day, including just a pair of hits over the first eight innings. The Husker finished with 12 hits on the afternoon. The Huskers return to Target Field today for 3:35 p.m. game with the No. 2 seed Ohio State Buckeyes.
