Nebraska Softball Team Headed To Oregon For Supers

LINCOLN (AP) - The Nebraska softball team isn’t fazed by having to travel to Oregon to play the third-seeded Ducks in this weekend’s NCAA super regional.
The Pac-12 champion Ducks (49-9) handed Nebraska (43-13) its most lopsided loss of the season and have won 24 straight at home. The Big Ten-champion Cornhuskers won a school-record 15 away games but haven’t broken through against a Pac-12 opponent on the road in 20 years. Nebraska coach Rhonda Revelle said Wednesday her team has improved since that February day it lost 11-2 to the Ducks. She said the last 16 teams in the national tournament are capable of beating anybody on any given day. The best-of-three series starts Saturday night. The winner moves on to next week’s Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.
