Various Area Memorial Day Activities Planned

The Coleridge American Legion Post #114 and Auxiliary will serve its annual Memorial Day ceremonies. The public is invited. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., Veterans' graves in four community cemeteries will be decorated and Military rites will be conducted. Memorial Day dinner will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Coleridge Community Center.

Roy Reed Post #252, American Legion Winside, will be hosting Memorial Day Ceremonies at the following cemeteries. To participate in the event, please meet at Jensen’s Café at 7 AM.

Carroll United Methodist Church will be holding their annual Memorial Day Dinner from 11 am until 1pm. This home cooked meal includes: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked beans, salad bar, homemade rolls and pies. The cost for adults is $8.00 and children are only $4.00. Don’t miss out on this great roast beef dinner being served from 11am until 1pm at Carroll United Methodist Church this Memorial day.

There will be a  Memorial Day Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park in Greenwood Cemetary at 10am. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at Wayne High in the Lecture Hall.
