Funeral services for Delores “Dee” Wacker age 84 of Wayne will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne on Wednesday June 19th at 10:30 a.m.  She passed away Friday at Careage Campus of Care at Wayne. Visitation will be held at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with family present.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne.

Delores Ann Wacker was born February 2, 1929, on a farm near Wayne to Otto and Anna (Nelsen) Lutt. She attended rural schools and graduated from Wayne High School in 1946. Dee was employed at Houdersheldt Egg Plant, Wayne County Court House, and Kuhn’s Department Store in Wayne. Delores married Dick Wacker, May 16, 1948, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wayne. The couple lived in Wayne all of their married lives. Dee worked alongside of her husband for many years, owners of Dick’s Tavern 1966-1972, and Dick’s Dairy Sweet 1975-1993. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Wayne Country Club. Dee enjoyed sewing, golfing, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Dee is survived by her sons, Jim (Dianne) Wacker of Pender and Kirk Wacker of Wayne; five grandchildren, Kelly of Lincoln, Lesley of Grimes, IA, Ashley of Lincoln, Nathan of Omaha, and Carly of Seoul, Korea; sisters-in-law, Donna Lutt of Wayne, Dorothy (Ken) Beyeler of Cody, WY, Betty Bruns of Sioux Falls, SD, Margaret Nelson of Wakefield and Rodella Wacker of Wayne; nieces and nephews.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester “Dick” Wacker in 2009; brothers, Don, Lester, and Woodrow Lutt; and a sister, Joy Blecke.

Dee’s family appreciates your thoughts and kindness and invites you to lunch in the church fellowship hall following the committal service.
