Douglas A. Lueders, 66 of Texas formerly of Wakefield and Wisner

A service celebrating the life of Douglas A. Lueders, 66 of Texas, will be Monday July 8th at 10:30 AM at
Christ Lutheran Church, Wisner, NE.  A time of fellowship will follow the services. Inurnment will be at 1:30 PM at Wakefield Cemetery, with Military honors conducted by the Wisner VFW. Memorials may be left to the Douglas Lueders Memorial Fund, C/O Speer Funeral Home PO Box 27, Aledo, IL 61231.
Doug died on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Doug was born on March 27, 1947 in Wakefield, NE to Delbert and Eunice (Brown) Lueders. He was a 1965 graduate of Wakefield High School then attended Wayne State College before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He married Patricia Jorgensen in 1967. Two daughters were born to this union, Shannon, while stationed in Germany, and Nicole after returning to Nebraska. He Married Gisselle Koch in 1987.
Doug Owned Lueders Oil Co. in Wisner with his brother, Wayne until 1982. He then enjoyed his 30 year career in landscape design in Lincoln, NE; Knoxville, TN and Dallas, TX. Doug enjoyed socializing with friends, hunting, golfing and Nascar. He especially enjoyed his many canine companions.
Those left to cherish Doug’s memory include his wife, Giselle; his daughters: Shannon (Brian) Lininger of New Boston, IL and Nicole (Jeremy) Joy of Aledo, IL; 5 grandchildren: Morgan, Victoria & Connor Joy and Collin & Brooklyn Lininger; step-daughter, Brigitte (Gregory) Shamoun; step-son, Aubre (Connie) Kent and step-grandson, Alex Shamoun; Sister, Laurie (Bill) Dicke of Lincoln, NE; Brother, Wayne Lueders of Wisner, NE and a Half-brother, Anthony (Emi) Lueders stationed with the Navy in Japan.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Lueders; mother and step-father, Eunice & Hugh Kohlmeier.
