UEHLING - A man wanted on suspicion of burglaries in Burt County was apprehended after a chase that ended near a church rectory west of Uehling in northern Dodge County early Monday morning. According to Dodge County Sheriff Steve Hespen, 32-year-old Timothy Stillman of Lyons was charged with burglary and resisting arrest, among other charges.
Officials say prior to his arrest, Stillman was wanted on four separate warrants, and it the main suspect in four different burglaries. The chase began when a robbery that Stillman was in the middle of committing was interrupted at around 2:00 Sunday afternoon at a rural Burt County residence. Stillman then fled in a stolen vehicle and eluded officers for over 10 hours before being discovered hiding under a tree near a church rectory. Stillman is being held in the Saunders County jail on Dodge County charges of burglary, theft over $500, resisting arrest, and unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle.
