WAYNE - Brian Dolan, one of two finalists for the head men’s basketball position as Wayne State College will be in Wayne today for an on campus interview.
Dolan just completed his seventh season at Upper Iowa University where he led the Peacocks to a 20-12 record and a trip to the NCAA Division II Central Regional, the school’s first-ever trip to the national tournament. Prior to arriving at Upper Iowa, Dolan also served as an assistant coach at Texas-Pan American, College of Southern Idaho, Southern Utah and Southwest Missouri State while also serving as an administrative assistant at Oral Roberts (1998) under Bill Self. Dolan is a graduate of William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. The Second candidate, Adam Bohac of Southern Nazarene University, will be on campus tomorrow. Members of the Wayne community are invited to meet each candidate and ask questions during a campus/community forum that will be held from 1 – 1:45 p.m. during each interview at Gardner Hall Auditorium on the Wayne State campus. Wayne State is looking to replace Paul Combs, who resigned June 15th to become head coach at Carroll University in Wisconsin. Combs was 54-58 in his four seasons at Wayne State, including a 17-12 record in the 2012-13 season.
