Memorial services for Lesa Backstrom age 52 of Wayne will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in

Wayne on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.  Memorial visitation will be at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with family present. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to Providence Medical Center Hospice in Wayne. She passed away Thursday at her home near Wayne. Arrangements with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Lesa Ann Backstrom was born, September 28, 1960, at     Carthage, Illinois to Ralph and Ann (Cover) Barclay.   She graduated from Wayne High School and Wayne State College.  Lesa married Perry Backstrom, August 11, 1984 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wayne.  She was a substitute teacher at Wayne Community Schools.  Lesa was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and Church Council in Wayne, Wayne Recreation Board, and American Heart Association.
    Lesa is survived by her husband, Perry; daughters, Jamie   Backstrom  and Leslie Backstrom of Wayne; father, Ralph Barclay of Wayne; sisters, Cathy (David) Justi of Pekin, IL; Patty Wieland of Wayne; mother-in-law, Blanche Backstrom of Wayne; brother-in-law, Verdel (Virginia) Backstrom of Wayne; nieces and nephews.
    Lesa was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Barclay; father-in-law, Lawrence Backstrom; brother-in-law, Duane Backstrom; and a great-nephew, Kyle Bentjen.
    Lesa’s family appreciates your thoughts and kindness and invites you lunch in the church fellowship hall following the committal service.
