Funeral services for Keith Wickett age 92 of Laurel will be held at the United Methodist Church in Laurel on

Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Officiate will be Rev. Jaime Farias.
Visitation will be held at the United Methodist Church in Laurel on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.Interment with Military Rites at the Laurel Cemetery. He passed away Saturday at the Hillcrest Care Center in Laurel.

    Keith William Wickett was born January 20, 1921, in Sioux City, IA to Verner and Ruby (Conrad) Wickett.  He graduated from Laurel High School in 1938, and attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Keith married Violet Carlson November 4, 1944, at Atlanta, Georgia. Keith served in the United States Navy as a WW II Instrument Flight Instructor. He farmed locally for several years after the war.  In 1956, he moved his family to the Seattle, Washington area to work as a Quality Control Inspector for Boeing Aircraft Company. The couple returned to farm near Laurel before their retirement.   He was a member of United Methodist Church in Laurel.
    Keith is survived by his wife, Violet; children, Frank (Pamela) Wickett of Laurel, Don (Nancy) Wickett of Oklahoma City, OK, Deanna (Joe) McCoy of Laurel; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Marvin Wickett of Laurel and Richard Wickett of Shelton, WA; nieces and nephews.
    Keith was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna June Carlson; grandsons, Todd and Philip Wickett; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
    Keith’s family appreciates your thoughts and kindness and invites you to lunch in the church fellowship hall following committal service.
