WSC Volleyball Jumps To #8 In Nation

WAYNE - The Wayne State College volleyball team moved up 12 spots and is ranked eighth in the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Division II Top 25 Coaches Preseason Poll released Monday afternoon.  The Wildcats received a total of 871 points and three first place votes in voting conducted by various Division II head coaches from across the country.
           
Wayne State went 4-0 over the weekend defeating previously ranked #9 Indianapolis, #11 Colorado Mines, #1 Concordia-St. Paul, and #21 Wingate University at the 2013 Holiday Inn & Suites Lake Elmo Classic in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Wildcats hit the road again this weekend playing four matches at the CSU Pueblo Tournament in Colorado Friday and Saturday.
