Budget Discussed At School Board

WAYNE - The budget for the current school year was at the forefront of discussion at last night’s meeting of the Wayne Community Schools Board.
Superintendent Mark Lenihan noted that as far as the school is concerned financially, there were no problems. As he presented the 2013-2014 budget for approval, Lenihan stated that a lower tax rate will cause a half cent decline in the overall levy from last year. Lenihan said the overall rate includes the general fund budget, the bond and buildings funds and the qualified capital improvement fund, and will be $1.176 for every $100 of value.
