Wayne State Volleyball Posts Two More Wins

PUEBLO, Colo. - #8 Wayne State College opened play Friday in the CSU Pueblo Ramada ThunderWolves Volleyball Classic with a pair of sweeps, taking down Lindenwood of Missouri 25-11, 25-19 and 25-21 and Chadron State 25-14, 25-16 and 25-21.  WSC improved to 6-0 on the season with the two wins.
            
Unofficial statistics for the Lindenwood match show Cori Hobbs leading the way for the Wildcats with 12 kills followed by Alyssa Frauendorfer with seven kills and a .429 attack percentage.  Leisa McClintock had 22 assists for WSC, who hit .271 in the contest while holding Lindenwood to an attack percentage of .034.
Hobbs had 11 kills with Alyssa Frauendorfer adding eight to lead #8 Wayne State College in 3-0 win over Chadron State.
           
Wayne State outhit the Eagles in the contest .196-.085.  Sophomore setter Leisa McClintock handed out 26 set assists and had four service aces in the win while sophomore libero Courtney VanGroningen was credited with 16 digs for the Wildcats.
           
The Wildcats play two more matches in Pueblo on Saturday, battling William Jewell at 1 p.m. Mountain Time and Southwestern Oklahoma State at 5 p.m. Mountain Time.
