Posted: 07 November, 2013

BRUNING, Neb. (KTCH/KCTY) - The second round of the Nebraska state high school football playoffs took place last night.  In D1 action, Randolph traveled way south, near the Kansas border, to face the #1 seeded Bruning-Davenport-Shickley Eagles. The Cardinals led early, as the score was 22-12 at halftime. Both teams displayed a lot of offense in the second half, but the final score favored Randolph 50-32. Dylan Loberg ran for three scores, while quarterback Nolan Nordhues ran for three touchdowns and threw another to lead the Cardinal offense. The #8 seeded Cardinals improve their season record to 9-1, and will face Exeter-Milligan in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. We will continue to cover Randolph throughout the remainder of the playoffs.
