WSC Soccer's Macy Hagen Named All-NSIC Honorable Mention

WAYNE - Macy Hagen of Wayne State College was named Thursday to the 2013 NSIC Women’s Soccer All-Conference Team announced by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota.  The senior forward from Bellevue East High School was an honorable mention choice for the second straight season and was Wayne State’s lone representative on this year’s All-NSIC Team.
               
Hagen led Wayne State in scoring this season with 11 points on four goals and three assists.  The 5-7 senior forward led the Wildcats in shots (36) and shots on goal (16) while starting all 18 games for WSC this season.  Hagen scored goals against Northwest Missouri State, Augustana, St. Cloud State and in the season-finale against Sioux Falls last Sunday where she had one goal and one assist in a 5-2 win.  She finished her Wildcat career starting 71 of 72 games played.  Hagen also excels in the classroom and is a two-time selection to the NSIC All-Academic Team.
               
Wayne State College finished the 2013 season with a 2-14-2 record, going 2-11-2 in the NSIC.  The Wildcats had a strong finish to the season earning a 0-0 tie at #19 Southwest Minnesota State followed by a 5-2 win over Sioux Falls to end the season.
