Brueggemann, Tracy Lead WSC Men at Central Region Cross Country Meet

Justin Brueggemann and Greg Tracy were Wayne State's top two finishers Saturday at the NCAA Division II Central Region Cross Country Championships held at Yankton Trails Park in Sioux Falls, S.D.
As a team, the Wildcats were 17th out of 23 teams with a score of 511 points.
Augustana College easily repeated as region champions with 37 points, well ahead of second place Central Missouri with 115 points. Missouri Southern was a close third at 116 points followed by Nebraska-Kearney (137) and Sioux Falls (146) as the top five teams advance to the NCAA National Championships in two weeks.
Sophomore Justin Brueggemann and senior Greg Tracy led the Wildcats as each runner had a time of 34:17 on the 10,000 meter course to finish 89th and 90th respectively out of 157 total runners. Next for WSC was senior Garang Lual in 97th place at 34:22 with freshman Taylor Witt in 116th place at 34:50.
Other Wayne State runners included Corbin Lehn (137th – 35:51) and Adam Hochstein (138th – 36:12).
