WAYNE (KTCH/KCTY) - A cooperative agreement between Wayne and Wakefield High Schools for spring baseball was discussed at last night’s meeting of the Wayne Community School Board.
A resolution regarding the co-op was also drafted and later approved, meaning the idea for Wayne and Wakefield to play high school baseball together has been given the green light by the Wayne School Board. The team would play its home games in Wayne.
The board also approved an insurance quote from Northeast Nebraska Insurance for property and casualty coverage. The quote would go up slightly for the 2013-2014 year to $87,571, compared to $82,443 from 2012-2013.
