Carol Jean Brummond was born August 16, 1936, at Neligh to Lawrence H. and Margaret (Napier) Brown.  She graduated from NelighHigh Schooland the Norfolk School of Business.  Carol married Marvin Brummond December 18, 1955at Neligh.  The couple moved to Waynein 1957, where Carol worked for Brandstetter Implement.  Carol worked from 1962 until her retirement in 1993 for the City of Wayne.  During her years with the City of Wayne, she was a secretary and later an assistant to the city clerk.  Carol served as city clerk the last eight years of her employment.  The couple continued to live in Wayneand spent their winters in Texasand Arizona. The couple enjoyed traveling around the country to the lower 48 states and parts of Canada.  She was a member of the FirstUnitedMethodistChurch, League of Municipalities, International and Nebraska City Clerks Associations, Logan Valley Sams Chapter of Northeast Nebraska, Wayne Eagles Auxiliary and  past Madam President.  Carol loved playing cards, camping, bird watching, fishing, crafts, reading, and family time. 
     Carol is survived by her husband, Marvin; their children, Lynne (Steve) Warfield of Byron, MI, Scott (Cindy) Brummond and Debra (Bob) Reinhardt of Wayne; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Lee) Ott of Twin Brooks, SD, Virgine Jensen of Pilger, Gary (Pocky) Brummond of Thousand Palms, CA, Phyllis (Brown) Hendrix of Council Bluffs, IA; nieces and nephews.
     Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and    Margaret  (Napier)  Brown;   brother,   Richard Brown,
Brother-in-law, Roland Jensen, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Duane and Iva Brummond.                  .
     Carol’s family appreciates your thoughts and kindness and invites you to lunch in the church fellowship hall following the committal service.
